The Impact of Effluents Derived from Palm Oil Extraction Plants on Soil Microbial Community

In order to know the consequences of effluent on microflora soil and its respective fertility, size experimental sample was defined, which represented by five locations, from ten portions were collected for microbiological analysis. Unimpacted samples served as controls. Total counts heterotrophic bacteria, coliforms, fungi assessed using pour plate spread method. The result showed that total coliforms (3.8x103CFU/mL, 3.5x103CFU/mL 3.4x102CFU/mL respectively) impacted soils lower compared values (3.6x106 CFU/mL, 3.6x106CFU/mL 2.6x104UFC/mL non-impacted control. Bacterial genera involved in margarine production processes include Bacillus spp, Micrococcus Klebsiella Pseudomonas Staphylococcus Salmonella spp. isolated with effluents palm oil extracting plants Aspergillus Rhizopus spp Mucor results obtained indicate have an immediate negative impact microbiota soil, since application could cause changes affect microbial communities. Therefore, it is recommended adequate guidelines be established possible pre-treatment safe discharge mills, addition avoiding their effect fertility.
